Yuvraj Singh backs up Rishabh Pant and reveals reason for 2019 World Cup semi-final loss for India

Yuvraj Singh states that the dismissal of Rishabh Pant cannot be the reason alone for the loss in Semi-final of the World Cup 2019. The match between India and New Zealand at the Old Trafford had left out a way home for the India team.

Rishabh Pant entered the crease when India was at a score of 24/4. Yuvraj backs up the courageous 32 from Pant to be a good boast for India. But this young batsman was dismissed after adding 47 runs for the fifth wicket.

The partnership with Hardik Pandya for the fifth wicket saw a chance of hope for India win, however the slog sweep from Pant paved a way to his dismissal. The captain Virat Kohli and the coach Ravi Shastri were not so impressed with the shot selection from Pant, and Kohli then had an exchange of words with the coach as he pointed at Pant.

Yuvraj explained Pant had not much experience in the 50-overs format and he was picked for the reason of amazing talent in the T20 format. However the expectations were not met by the wicket-keeper batsman, and the early fall of top-order led to loss in a big match of the World Cup.
