With the Indian team having travelled to Australia in 2014, the first Test match was quite interesting and emotional, said Kohli. With MS Dhoni facing an injury in the previous tournament and so was rested for the first Test, allowing Kohli to lead the team for the first time in Tests.

The initial Test match in Adelaide between Australia and India took place in December 2014, just after a couple of weeks when Australia batsman Phil Hughes had passed away. The unusual incident caused a matter of emotion, said Kohli. The delivery from Australia’s Sean Abbott during a Sheffield Shield match happened at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

Virat Kohli recollects this special and emotional Test as he admits it in a recent post on Instagram. However the first Test match was won by Australia on their home ground after a close contest of five days. Kohli was successful in scoring two centuries in both the innings of the match but turned into an Aussies win.
