Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman is likely to miss Chennai Super Kings’ next match in IPL 2024 as he heads to Bangladesh to process his US visa ahead of the 2024 T20 World Cup to be held in the Caribbean and USA in June.
CSK’s next match will be against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Friday, April 5, and Mustafizur is expected to return on Sunday or Monday, depending on when he delivers his pass. The comeback on Monday (April 8) would prove to be a setback, forcing him to miss the home match against Kolkata Knight Riders the same day.
“Mustafizur left the IPL last night to obtain a US visa for the T20 World Cup. He will approve the US Embassy tomorrow (April 4) and then return to India to join Chennai,” Manager Jalal Yunus told Live Cricket Score. Wednesday.
Mustafizur has played a key role for CSK in this tournament so far after taking seven wickets in three matches to top the rankings. He recorded match-winning figures of 4-29 in the first match of IPL 2024 between CSK and Royal Challengers Bengaluru. He followed up with 2-30 in the match against Gujarat Titans and won again. However, in the match against former IPL franchise Delhi Capitals, he was very expensive as he conceded 47 runs against his four balls for runs.
