The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has revealed the schedule for the 2025 summer season. Both the men’s and women’s teams are set to play significant series simultaneously, including highly anticipated matchups against India. The England men’s team will engage in a five-match Test series against India from June 20 to August 4, while the England women’s team will face India in a series comprising three T20Is and three ODIs between June 28 and July 22, reports Live Cricket Score.
The first Test of the men’s series against India will be held in Leeds starting June 20, followed by the second Test in Birmingham on July 2. The iconic Lord’s will host the third Test from July 10, with Manchester and The Oval scheduled to stage the fourth and fifth Tests, respectively. Meanwhile, the India women’s tour of England begins with five T20Is: June 28 in Nottingham, July 1 in Bristol, July 4 at The Oval, July 9 in Manchester, and July 12 in Birmingham. This will be followed by three ODIs on July 16, July 19, and July 22, to be held in Southampton, Lord’s, and Chester-le-Street, respectively.
Before the India series, the West Indies will tour England, with the men’s and women’s teams scheduled to play three ODIs and three T20Is each. The summer will kick off with Zimbabwe’s return to Test cricket in England for the first time since 2003, with a four-day Test match scheduled at Trent Bridge from May 22. As the summer winds down, the England men’s team will face South Africa in three ODIs and three T20Is from September 2 to September 14. Additionally, England will visit Ireland in September to play three ODIs on September 17, 19, and 21.
“Hosting England Men’s and England Women’s series alongside each other has proven popular with fans and has significantly supported the growth of the women’s game. The success of last year’s Ashes and the recent series against Pakistan demonstrates this,” said ECB CEO Richard Gould. “I’m thrilled we’ll do the same for the West Indies and India series next year. Cricket fans are in for a real treat, and I hope they’ll turn out in large numbers to support both our men’s and women’s teams.”
“India’s tours are a major highlight of any cricket summer, drawing massive attention. The last men’s Test series here was an absolute thriller, and I expect next year’s contest to be just as exhilarating. Our women’s series are always fiercely contested, too,” Gould added. “I’m also pleased that we’ll welcome both West Indies teams back for white-ball series following this year’s men’s Test series. India women will return in 2026 to play the first-ever women’s Test at Lord’s, another exciting milestone for the sport.”
