After a long wait of the biggest domestic league- IPL is finally starting from 19 September (today). A delayed annual schedule from March to September is an unfortunate happening due to the coronavirus pandemic this year. Finally, we land into the first match of IPL 2020 that’s happening between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians at 7:30 PM IST.
The Dhoni-led CSK and Rohit Sharma-captaining MI will face each other in the battle this year after both the teams had a strong fight at the finals last year. Another major aspect to look at is the location that all the teams have moved to. Its UAE that is being picked for the IPL 2020 after a serious discussion by IPL governing committee and BCCI over the COVID-19 spread in India.
Besides, Chennai Super Kings had to return back to the nets just before the start of the tournament, after major concerns of coronavirus spreading to the team players and support staff. Now, with enough practice, both CSK and MI are well into sync to take on in Abu Dhabi. Alongside, the two venues for other matches are in Dubai and Sharjah totaling 3 venues for the league.
