It was known for the Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians battling the first match in the 13th season of IPL. This is according to the old schedule that was planned in March 2020, the same is going to repeat in the postponed IPL this year, and scheduled in the UAE.
The initial plan revealed on 16th August made way for the delayed IPL to start from 19th September this year. Now the national apex board BCCI on Sunday (6th September) declared a schedule of matches.
The first match between CSK and MI will be held at Abu Dhabi. The schedule is planned for 53-days with a slight extension than normal. Dubai will stage 24 league games will be hosted at Dubai while 20 will be held at Abu Dhabi and 12 matches at Sharjah respectively.
However the waiting for venues for the playoff matches, and the final, will be announced at a later point in time. The announcement delay in schedule was due to the Covid-19 positive cases in the CSK camp.
