The uncertainty still hovers around the 2020 World Cup that is actually scheduled during October-November, in Australia. However ICC that meets today might likely take a move on its decision of holding up to the tournament as usual or postpone it to a later date. There has been a long wait since the highest board is waiting for the confirmation of response from the hosting country amid the ongoing pandemic.
Since the start of severity from end of March 2020, covid-19 crisis has led different tournaments to postpone indefinitely, including India’s huge domestic league IPL. BCCI is now looking at the current situation, to step in for allowing IPL to take place in the Oct-Nov window, in case ICC reveals this year’s WC to be postponed.
