Rahul Johri has worked as the BCCI CEO since 2016. His resignation was recently accepted on 9 July, and so Hemang Amin was appointed as the interim BCCI CEO. A BCCI source told ANI that Hemang Amin has been given the interim charge of CEO of BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India).

BCCI has accepted the resignation of its past CEO, Rahul Johri. He was appointed as the BCCI CEO in 2016 when the president of the board was Shashank Manohar. With no major operations in Indian cricket due to the coronavirus crisis, the team has not played any form of cricket since March.

On the other hand, the recent Test series between England and West Indies started recently. The first Test match that started on 9th July ended up with West Indies winning the match against the hosting nation. It was a long gap after International cricket resumed back to action.
