Harbhajan backed up by VVS Laxman for 2001

There was a spectacular test match in the Eden Gardens, Kolkata in 2001 against Australia. VVS Laxman scored 281 in the second innings and became the highest scorer during that time. The Indian team was asked to come to bat after the follow-on came into action after the 1st innings by both the teams. Rahul Dravid scored 180 in the 2nd innings.

However with the support of Harbajan Singh picking up 13 wickets, India managed with a win. In a recent conversation, Laxman applauded Harbhajan Singh for his performance that includes seven wickets in the first innings. And it was the first hat-trick by an Indian Test cricketer. Laxman was a key player in the test matches with many records, and he lauds Harbhajan for his extraordinary performance in all formats of the game.

The list is so long that VVS praised his co-players for all the support. He paid tributes to Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly, Virender Sehwag. Anil Kumble, and Javagal Srinath.
