Deepak Chahar and Mayank Yadav may have ended their IPL 2024 season prematurely due to mid-season injuries, raising doubts about their further participation. Both players suffered setbacks that cast uncertainty on their availability for the remaining matches of their respective teams.
Regarding Deepak Chahar’s injury, Chennai Super Kings CEO Kasi Viswanathan expressed concern, stating that while he’s not ruled out for the season, his participation remains doubtful. Chahar’s hamstring injury forced him to leave the field after just two deliveries in their recent match against Punjab Kings at Chepauk.
In the upcoming match against Punjab Kings in Dharamsala, Chahar, who was a significant acquisition for 14 crores, won’t be joining the Chennai side. Additionally, CSK faces fitness concerns with other players like Tushar Deshpande, who has flu but has still traveled to Dharamsala, and Matheesha Pathirana, who missed the last game due to a niggle but is expected to play.
