Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) extends its views as the team has lost the ICC World Cup 2020 chance at the end of league stage. The women’s team which believed in a huge spirit to be presented at the world tour but had unfortunately made no efforts to keep up. Hence, the steps for BCB assessment on performance by the team along with coaching staff is yet to take place soon.
The team had actually performed well in the recent past, but was contradictory at the world stage. They had a chance to win against New Zealand and Sri Lanka. The practice match against Pakistan was by Bangladesh but the team failed in the tournament and returned home with a huge disappointment.
While there might be a replacement for the position of head coach Anju Jain, BCB rethinks about the batting line-up where Rumana Ahmed had to actually bat-up the order, instead sent down the order in the World Cup. So these strategies which left the board to question might be discussed and sorted once the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic ends up and the cricket related activities start, said BCB.
