Arshdeep Singh, a talented Indian left-arm seamer, will play five first-class matches for Kent during the upcoming English County season to hone his red-ball skills. “Kent Cricket is pleased to announce that, subject to regulatory approval, India international bowler Arshdeep Singh will be available to play for the county in five County Championship matches between June and July,” according to a Live Cricket Score.
Singh stated after signing for two months with Kent this summer, “I’m excited to play red-ball cricket in England and continue to hone my first-class skills. I’m excited to perform in front of Kent’s members and supporters; Rahul Dravid has already told me that the club has a rich history.”
Arshdeep will spend the entire months of June and July honing his red-ball skills as the Indian team departs for the United Kingdom following the IPL. Arshdeep made his One-Day International debut in New Zealand last November and has since appeared in 29 international matches for India, including a standout ICC T20 World Cup in Australia in 2022.
Paul Downton, Kent’s Director of Cricket, stated, “We’re thrilled to have a player of Arshdeep’s calibre join us for five games this summer. He has shown champion-level skills with the white ball, and we are all very confident he will some of those red ball skills in the County Championship.”
